{"id":50,"date":"2009-06-30T01:08:52","date_gmt":"2009-06-30T05:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whysheep.com\/blog\/?p=50"},"modified":"2009-06-30T01:08:52","modified_gmt":"2009-06-30T05:08:52","slug":"cameras-prefpane-for-osx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whysheep.com\/blog\/?p=50","title":{"rendered":"Cameras PrefPane for OSX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"Flexibits.com\">Flexibits.com<\/a> makes an OSX PrefsPane called Cameras that provides a critical feature: choose what to do when certain &#8220;cameras&#8221; are connected.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t always want iPhoto launching (and loading 7000 pictures *and* syncing my MobileMe galleries) when really I&#8217;m just interested in interested in quickly updating a few apps on my iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>With this, you can choose which app (iPhoto, ImageCapture, Aperture, Photoshop, backup\/sync apps, or nothing) depending on which camera, which iPhone\/iPod Touch, which memory cards, etc. Very cool.<\/p>\n<p>The coolest part: Flexibits made this useful thing available for free once they learned that this feature will be built in to Snow Leopard. (Since I did not know about this before, it is more like getting a bonus Snow Leopard feature early!)<\/p>\n<p>Another great tip from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twit.tv\/mbw\">MacBreakWeekly<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n<p>p.s.
